Makes me think of games like the original Bloodrayne instead of a classic like Soul Reaver. I watched my cousin play Blood Omen 2 and really just spent most of my time laughing at it since we were high af. They tried to be less Zeldalike after that, and lost me with 3. Soul Reaver 2 felt to Soul Reaver 1 like what Heart of the Alien is to Another World. Some incredibly memorable moments with an almost proto-Dark Souls macabre and undying oppression to it. over too soon, but outdid Ocarina of Time in some ways, releasing only a short while after it. Soul Reaver 1 is the best game and also a great story with incredible technology on display (the geometric shift in real time, the streaming loading it helped pioneer). Competent Zeldalike which makes it enjoyable, albeit stiff as a board to play compared to something like Legend of Oasis or Link to the Past. Blood Omen 1 is the best story, with a cool world, and some of the worst load times on PS1, but I liked it a ton back then.
